Agile Flow (Via Zoom) |
Instructor: Physical Therapist A fusion of movements inspired by Pilates, Barre and Animal Flow to take the body through positions to build strength, improve mobility and incorporate joint stabilization. As you might be familiar with Pilates and Barre, we use the basic movements partnered with mindful breathing to focus on correct core musculature usage and lumbopelvic hip strengthening to protect our vertebral spine, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. Animal Flow is using one's own body weight to increase mobility by actively engaging and lengthening through multiple joints at the same time and stability by incorporating isometric holds. Agile Flow is for you to enjoy 45 minutes of moving freely and with purpose!

Instructor: Physical Therapist Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening I is an introduction to overall strength and conditioning, focusing on functional movements and increasing activity levels to prevent and manage disease.

Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening II (Via Zoom) |
Instructor: Physical Therapist Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening II is designed for individuals who are looking to increase aerobic endurance and general strengthening. Participants can expect a circuit style workout that focuses on a combination of slow and up-tempo movements to increase heart rate and test muscular endurance in a variety of ways.

Beyond Birth: Your Hospital Stay |
Instructor: Lactation Consultant This pre-admission information session is recommended for pregnant patients in their late 2nd to early 3rd trimesters and considering delivery at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center in Sant Cruz. This session is offered without charge by our team of Lactation Consultants and designed to help patients understand the care that will be provided during their hospital stay as well as how to prepare for the postpartum experience. The Lactation Consultants will provide simple steps promoting feeding success (including breastfeeding) and your overall well-being. Other informative classes and support groups for continued support will also be shared .

Instructor: Health Educator Feeling drained at the end of your workday?
Join an evening movement class to release tension and restore your energy.
This class includes a combination of dynamic movements and gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of poses supported by props to enhance or deepen the experience using your breath to achieve a state of relaxation and release. The class will include a combination some standing and mostly floor movements with modifications provided.

Instructor: Online Program Our eClass provides comprehensive information expectant parents need about how to keep their baby safe from day 1.
In this class, students will learn how to protect their little ones through instructive video clips, info graphics, stories, and interactive games. Students will also learn which accidents and injuries are most common, what can be done to prevent them and how to be prepared in the case of an emergency.
Topics Include: creating a safe sleep environment, car safety, baby equipment, childproofing, CPR demonstration and emergency preparedness.

Instructor: Online Program Take this bundle and you’re covered! After taking the eClass - Baby Bundle, not only will you feel more competent and confident about your upcoming birth experience, but also have a good handle on caring for your newborn. You will receive access to our three eClasses: Understanding Birth, Understanding Your Newborn and Understanding Infant and Child Safety. You will also be able to choose two livestream sessions with our educators to ask questions and get inside tips.
Online classes cover:
•Comfort techniques and hospital procedures for labor and birth
•Swaddling, diapering, bathing and soothing your newborn
•Car seats, creating a safe nursery and safely using baby equipment
•And much more
On the registration date you select, an informational email will be sent. There is no class held on this date.

Free Gentle Yoga |
Instructor: Sutter Health Educator Join PAMF via Zoom for Free Gentle Yoga. This class is free to all adult community members, patients, providers and staff.
Yoga and meditation are ways to help strengthen your mind and body. This class may help you reduce stress and anxiety, feel happier, improve sleep, reduce pain and even lower blood pressure.
Class emphasis will be on using breath awareness, loosening practices and hatha yoga poses for mind/body awareness as well as meditation for a deeper connection with oneself.
No experience is required, all activities can be adapted and beginners are welcome!

Heart Smart Class - 1 Session (Mountain View) |
Instructor: Nutrition Services Staff This two-hour class is for those with a personal or family history of heart disease, high blood cholesterol, or high triglycerides and unable to control their cholesterol levels. Taught by a team of registered dieticians, class covers all of your basics from what cholesterol is to how to control it through lifestyle and nutrition. You will learn how the differences between the "good" and "bad" fats and how these impact your diet.

Infant Emergencies & CPR |
Instructor: Sutter Health Educator This unique two and a half hour class is taught by a certified CPR instructor and is appropriate for first-time parents and grandparents. Class covers the 911 system, how it works and what to do for basic infant emergencies including allergic reactions, breaks, burns, bleeding, bites, eye injuries and fever.
Class format includes PowerPoint presentation and lecture plus hands on CPR practice. No certification is given.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (Virtual) |
Instructor: Sutter Health Educator This class is held via Zoom beginning on the listed start date and includes a full day mindfulness retreat. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR) is designed to help you develop your inner resources to cope with chronic pain, illness and mental stress more effectively, enhancing the quality of your life. Participants learn and engage in awareness practices including breathing, body scanning, gentle yoga, mindful meditation, new ways of thinking and responding to difficult situations, relationships and emotions. This course is based on the methods of Jon Kabat-Zinn's Stress Reduction programs at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Class fee includes 8 weekly sessions and a Saturday retreat from 9am-3pm.
Participants are encouraged to purchase the “Full Catastrophe Living” book by Jon Kabat-Zinn to accompany the program. You can find this book through various medias such as e-book, audio book, or paperback and find at your local library, bookstore, or online.

Instructor: Lorena Martinez During pregnancy the practice of yoga can alleviate physical discomforts, increase fitness, and improve sleep. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques for an easier labor while having your questions answered by an experienced yoga instructor/ childbirth educator.
Our instructor is experienced in working with pregnant women via Zoom. Each class offers a great opportunity to connect with other expectant mothers through a short check-in and a practice appropriate for any stage of pregnancy.
