Agile Flow (Via Zoom)

Instructor: Physical Therapist
A fusion of movements inspired by Pilates, Barre and Animal Flow to take the body through positions to build strength, improve mobility and incorporate joint stabilization. As you might be familiar with Pilates and Barre, we use the basic movements partnered with mindful breathing to focus on correct core musculature usage and lumbopelvic hip strengthening to protect our vertebral spine, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. Animal Flow is using one's own body weight to increase mobility by actively engaging and lengthening through multiple joints at the same time and stability by incorporating isometric holds. Agile Flow is for you to enjoy 45 minutes of moving freely and with purpose!

Balance & Foundational Strength (Via Zoom)

Instructor: Physical Therapist
The class is for people who want to improve and/or maintain their balance and general movement. There are multiple systems in our bodies working together to prevent falls. This class aims to challenge and improve these systems by providing balance and foundational strength exercises, in addition to gentle range of motion (ROM) exercises. Join us to learn new ways to challenge your balance systems from the comfort of your own home.

Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening I (Via Zoom)

Instructor: Physical Therapist
Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening I is an introduction to overall strength and conditioning, focusing on functional movements and increasing activity levels to prevent and manage disease.

Join Angela Cook, PTA and Devan Seeley, PTA virtually via Zoom in a group environment with individualized attention and feedback. Performed live for 30 minute exercise sessions to help meet exercise guidelines. This class is open to PAMF patients and community members.

Required to Participate:
Ability to get on & off bed independently
Ability to get in & out of chair independently
Comfort with virtual supervision
Familiar with Zoom, specifically how to "Spotlight" or "Pin" a specific video depending on if you are using the internet browser or app.

Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening II (Via Zoom)

Instructor: Physical Therapist
Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening II is designed for individuals who are looking to increase aerobic endurance and general strengthening. Participants can expect a circuit style workout that focuses on a combination of slow and up-tempo movements to increase heart rate and test muscular endurance in a variety of ways. 

Required to Participate: 
· Able to push weights overhead 
· Hold a plank for ~1 minute 
· Continuously do jumping jacks for ~1 minute 
· Perform 30 body weight squats 
· Comfortable with Virtual Supervision

Beyond Birth: Your Hospital Stay

Instructor: Lactation Consultant
This pre-admission information session is recommended for pregnant patients in their late 2nd to early 3rd trimesters and considering delivery at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center in Sant Cruz. This session is offered without charge by our team of Lactation Consultants and designed to help patients understand the care that will be provided during their hospital stay as well as how to prepare for the postpartum experience. The Lactation Consultants will provide simple steps promoting feeding success (including breastfeeding) and your overall well-being. Other informative classes and support groups for continued support will also be shared .

Bombay Jam (Via Zoom)

Instructor: Physical Therapist
Bombay Jam originates from the city of Bombay, now Mumbai. Bombay is India's Hollywood and is referred to Bollywood. Join Rupali Vyas, PT DPT virtually via Zoom for Bombay Jam which is a Bollywood style workout class during which you burn calories and sweat as you dance through Hindi song tracks filled with emotion, drama, and fun. The music is fast-paced, peppy, and energetic. The dance moves are high intensity, but simple. Melodious songs make it easy to work on toning routines as it takes the hard work away.

Childbirth Preparation (via Zoom)

Prepare for your birth in real time with our certified childbirth educator in this three-session Zoom class. In this live streamed class, you will get an overview of the many variations of normal birth through lecture, video and discussion as well as have a chance to connect with other couples in your class.

Feel more prepared as you practice comfort techniques such as breathing, positioning and touch with the guidance of an educator. Class will also cover stages of labor, hospital procedures, medications and cesarean births. This class will give you strategies and the confidence to be ready for your big day, while allowing ample opportunity to have your questions answered.

eClass - Relax and Recharge (Yoga via Zoom)

Feeling drained at the end of your workday?

Join an evening movement class to release tension and restore your energy.

This class includes a combination of dynamic movements and gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of poses supported by props to enhance or deepen the experience using your breath to achieve a state of relaxation and release. The class will include a combination some standing and mostly floor movements with modifications provided.

This class is open to all and appropriate for all levels of fitness. No previous experience needed.

Optional Equipment: yoga mat, yoga blocks (or books), bolsters or pillows, blankets, comfortable environment without too many distractions

This online class provides expectant mothers and their partners the content and strategies they need to get breastfeeding off to a solid start. A combination of video, 3D animation and readings explain and demonstrate critical concepts and skills, including:
-How breastfeeding works
-Strategies for a great milk supply
-Breastfeeding holds and positions
-Skills to achieve a comfortable latch
-Hunger cues
-Signs of swallowing and milk transfer
-The role of breast pumps

eClass - Understanding Infant and Child Safety

Our eClass provides comprehensive information expectant parents need about how to keep their baby safe from day 1.

In this class, students will learn how to protect their little ones through instructive video clips, info graphics, stories, and interactive games. Students will also learn which accidents and injuries are most common, what can be done to prevent them and how to be prepared in the case of an emergency.

Topics Include: creating a safe sleep environment, car safety, baby equipment, childproofing, CPR demonstration and emergency preparedness.

After taking the eClass - Baby Bundle, not only will you feel more competent and confident about your upcoming birth experience, but also have a good handle on feeding and caring for your newborn. You will also be able to choose three livestream sessions with our educators to ask questions and get inside tips.

Free Gentle Yoga

Join PAMF via Zoom for Free Gentle Yoga. This class is free to all adult community members, patients, providers and staff.

Yoga and meditation are ways to help strengthen your mind and body. This class may help you reduce stress and anxiety, feel happier, improve sleep, reduce pain and even lower blood pressure.

Class emphasis will be on using breath awareness, loosening practices and hatha yoga poses for mind/body awareness as well as meditation for a deeper connection with oneself.

No experience is required, all activities can be adapted and beginners are welcome!

Heart Smart Class - 1 Session (Mountain View)

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (Virtual)

This class is held via Zoom eight Tuesdays in a row beginning on the listed start date and includes a full day mindfulness retreat. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR) is designed to help you develop your inner resources to cope with chronic pain, illness and mental stress more effectively, enhancing the quality of your life. Participants learn and engage in awareness practices including breathing, body scanning, gentle yoga, mindful meditation, new ways of thinking and responding to difficult situations, relationships and emotions. This course is based on the methods of Jon Kabat-Zinn's Stress Reduction programs at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

Class fee includes 8 weekly sessions and a Saturday retreat from 9am-3pm.

Participants are encouraged to purchase the “Full Catastrophe Living” book by Jon Kabat-Zinn to accompany the program. You can find this book through various medias such as e-book, audio book, or paperback and find at your local library, bookstore, or online.

Minding Your Stress

Stress is an inevitable part of daily living. When unaddressed, it can lead to physiological, emotional, cognitive and interpersonal symptoms that throw you out of balance and take a toll on your quality of life. In this class we will explore how stress symptoms in each of those areas adversely impact your experience and we will learn tools to mitigate them. Each week you will also practice awareness skills accessing your inner resources to relieve stress and improve your health and general sense of well-being.

This class will help participants to:
• Recognize automatic reactions to stress that result in harmful symptoms (physiological, emotional, cognitive and interpersonal)
• Learn tools to reduce those symptoms and restore a state of balance
• Practice awareness skills to cultivate and maintain well-being

No Pressure! Basics of Managing Blood Pressure

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with Hypertension (high blood pressure), then your provider may have suggested home blood pressure monitoring and lifestyle changes.

In this class, you will learn how to properly use your own home blood pressure monitor (or purchase tips if you don't own one), share your readings with your provider, the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and stroke, and evidence-based lifestyle changes to lower blood pressure. You will also learn about additional no-cost resources and classes from Sutter Health to support you in lowering your blood pressure.

Parent Support Group is a place to ask questions and get support in a safe community of fellow parents as they navigate life challenges and parenthood during the pandemic and beyond.

Facilitated by Pediatric Physician, Angeline Hadi MD, parents can learn about stress response in children that can manifest in behaviors such as tantrums, difficulty focusing, insomnia, exhaustion, anxiety, disinterest in school and more. Participants will find a safe space where they can be kind to themselves, connect with others as they learn strategies to connect with their children.

Postpartum Yoga - 4 sessions (Via Zoom)

Instructor: Lorena Martinez
Babies and toddlers welcome! During the postpartum period mothers should begin exercising gradually and gently. This tailored yoga class will help women reconnect with their bodies after pregnancy while also interacting and bonding with their babies. The class will focus on specific postpartum conditioning excercises such as the pelvic floor and safe core work which will promote healing. At the end of class there will a space for an open discussion with other mothers which is a great opportunity to ask baby related questions and support each other through the postpartum period.

This class is appropriate for women who are at least 12 weeks postpartum and for anyone who needs to reconnect with their body even if they had babies years ago.





Class is very flexible, moms can come with or without baby and they can feed as baby or toddler needed.

Recommended props include: a yoga mat, two blocks, a towel or blanket for baby and a scarf or burping cloth(for entertainment purposes).

Private Childbirth Preparation

Our private, in-home classes are taught by certified childbirth educators and individually tailored to prepare pregnant women, their partners and/or other support people for the challenges of labor and birth. Possible topics include: stages of labor, hospital procedures, medications, cesareans, birthing options and postpartum recovery.

A minimum two hour block per session is required and we encourage expectant mothers to book early as we cannot guarantee the availability of our instructors will fit all schedules or locations.

Upper Body Workout (Via Zoom)

This is an upper body focused exercise class for all levels, including wheelchair using individuals. Join a PAMF Physical Therapist for an upbeat class that will get your heart rate up and make you sweat with toning and building endurance. This class is open to PAMF patients and community members.
