Baby Care Class ABSMC In-Person The class is designed to give expectant families We will cover what a newborn baby is like: How they will look, basic behaviors, basic procedures and care at birth Basic care for a baby in the first 3 months SIDS prevention Signs of illness and when to call the doctor We will practice hands on: Diapering, dressing, swaddling, comforting, burping and helping baby with gas, temperature taking, using a bulb syringe, sponge bathing Partners are encouraged to attend. Please note: No Children are allowed. Please check in at information desk bulletin board for exact class location. Bring: A pillow for your comfort. Parking is available in the Ashby Garage across the street from the hospital. Garage entrance location is on Colby Ave. between Webster St. and Ashby Ave. Please feel free to ask security about validated parking or choose to find street parking.
